The Story Garden Club Story
The Story Garden Club was founded in 1947 by a group of community women who shared an interest in gardening. The objective of the club was to stimulate a love of gardening and to aid in the protection of native trees, plants, and birds. The founding members of the club decided it would be an educational club, not a service or fundraising organization.

Blooming Since 1947
The Club has been in involved in many community activities since it began. In the early years they sent boxes of goodies to men and women away from home in service to their country. They hosted an annual flower show, donated books on birds and wildflowers to the Story School and organized a birdhouse project for the school children which remained popular for many years.
Today, the Story Garden Club is not just for women, everyone is welcome! The club is responsible for creating and maintaining various flower gardens throughout the community, helping to beautify Story throughout all seasons. Monthly meetings include interesting and educational programs which span a wide range of gardening topics. Presentations are made by guest speakers as well as club members. Garden tours and field trips are part of the monthly gatherings, and always, there is plenty of time to visit with friends and neighbors while enjoying refreshments provided by the hostess/hosts of the month.
New members are always welcome!
