June, 2010 Newsletter

The Story Recycling Group would like to thank all that helped with the Benefit and to everyone who donated.

The Story  Recycling organization is a volunteer and non-profit organization.  Due to recent inquiries we want to make clear that we do not make money on the recycling that we take in.

The trailer is emptied once a week by a volunteer from the community.  For the past two years we have used one of our volunteer's pick-up since that is what is required to haul the trailer.  The cost for fuel alone for a year is $960.00.  There is also  maintenance on the pick-up and the recycling site and the cost of insurance and registration for both the vehicle and trailer.

Our weights show a record amount on our recycling efforts which shows a strong need to keep the recycling  going.  However, we still see the need to promote and to educate the community on how to recycle properly.  This is an additional expense.

Thank you for recycling and remember

"OUR STORY - OUR RESPONSIBILITY"

Sincerely,  Story Recycling Group
